The history of HSL is woven around the vision and passion of its founding directors. Since its inception in 1994, HSL has grown from a small start-up to become a dynamic group of companies standing at the forefront of engineering and construction. Above and beyond its success, however, lies a track record which reflects a relentless quest for innovative engineering solutions and construction excellence.

HSL Constructor was founded with Mr Lim Choo Leng as Managing Director.
First Marine Project
1995
Seawater Intake Station and Upgrade / revamp of Wharf 6 at Pulau Bukom for Shell Eastern Petroleum Limited
First Jetty Project

Awarded first jetty project at Pulau Ayer Merbau (PCS)
ISO Safety & Quality

Achieved ISO Safety & Quality Certification

Secured major GMR Energy CCP Project, SKEC S’pore Jurong Aromatics Complex Project and SLNG Project (total project sum in Jurong Island S$80m). Groundbreaking of New HSL Waterfront Development at Penjuru, invested amount $55m. Set up Verdeland Pte Ltd.
Launched SE Asia’s Largest Piling Barge
2012
Won 3 WSH SHARP Awards. Established Energy Management System and was the 2nd Company in Singapore to successfully achieved ISO 50001. Launched SE Asia’s largest piling barge. Awarded piling contract for SE Asia’s largest container port, in Indonesia. Signed agreement with Ningbo counterpart on technical and facility cooperation. Set up Nautilus Pte Ltd.
Completion of HSL Global HQ
